Nicole Alexander was born and raised on the northwest plains of New South Wales, Australia with her family property located north-west of Moree near the QLD border. Nicole’s great-grandfather selected the holding in 1893 and lies buried in its soil, and it’s this sense of emotional attachment that generational landholders have towards their properties that in part, compelled her to return to work the land in the early 1990s, and write about it.

Her works reflect a sense of continuity and an inherent love for the land that is steeped in authenticity.
